The last daylily has bloomed in my garden. The summer is winding down. Sigh. The bees, butterflies, dragonflies, and hummingbirds are still enjoying the late summer flowers. Some spectacular spiders have taken up residence. The foxgloves and delphiniums are putting on a beautiful second act. The fall perennials are beginning to blossom. The sun is setting earlier. My sister and I had perfect weather and the beach to ourselves last week. I am sad to see the summer season coming to a close but I am excited for things to come this fall! Autumn is beautiful in New England and my new studio is progressing quickly! The windows and railings are in, the loft floor is finished, I have bought light fixtures, and strapping awaits the plasterers!! We may be in for some stormy weather for the next several days but we desperately need the rain! Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
