August first and the studio construction has begun! I’ve been dreaming of this day for four years and it has finally arrived! Loads of lumber have been delivered. A giant ridge beam was lifted into the barn through a crane. The roof beams were put into place today. The builders have begun to frame the stairway. I am amazed at how much they can accomplish in a day. The windows will be delivered next week and the framing will be ready for their installation. The barn will be so sound that if there is ever a terrible hurricane on the Cape, I am taking shelter out there! Maybe my friends, family, and neighbors will join me…..
